HUMAN RIGHTS DAY CELEBRATIONS

Each year we celebrate the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on Dec 10th. Our Speak Truth To Power schools receive a special box of games, posters and certificates to participate in the day.

LOUDSPEAKER PUBLIC SPEAKING WORKSHOPS

In collaboration with Loudspeaker Live, we delivered public speaking and confidence workshops for young people on our Speak Truth To Power programme. During the session they learnt how to listen and how to communicate their viewpoints in a series of debates.

RIPPLES OF HOPE FESTIVAL

The Ripples of Hope Festival is our human rights festival. First taking place in our home town of Manchester, the festival brought together world leaders, activists and artists to discuss the biggest issues of our time.

BUSINESS & INVESTMENT SUMMIT

Our Business & Investment Summit, asks business leaders to question how they can be more ethical and sustainable in order to protect human rights across their business supply chains and organisational structures.

SCHOOLS DAY

We invited school children from across Greater Manchester to take part in our Ripples of Hope Festival Schools Day. Here young people were able to engage in human rights through workshops, talks, performances and art exhibitions.

HUMAN RIGHTS TATTOO

Human Rights Tattoo came to Manchester and the UK, for the first time. The project sets out to tattoo each letter of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on the individuals around the world who hold their own human rights story. As part of the event we revealed our 30 Illustrated Articles of Human Rights project in an exclusive exhibition.
